Rudolf Dreikurs, M.D. (b. 1897, d. 1972), was a younger colleague of Alfred Adler in Vienna, Austria, and following the death of Adler in 1937, Dreikurs expanded Adler’s work in North America and around the world. Eva Dreikurs Ferguson, Ph.D., is professor of psychology at Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville. She is an active researcher, the author of journal articles and books, notably Motivation: A Biosocial and Cognitive Integration of Motivation and Emotion; Adlerian Theory: An Introduction; and is the editor of the book Equality and Social Interest.
